Incorporating physical activity and exercise into a busy schedule is challenging. This presentation will emphasize the importance of exercise and provide an evidence based overview on the advantages of increased physical activity. We will also discuss ideas for increasing movement into the daily life of a person with a disability.


Leslie Gonzalez

Physical Therapist, The T.E.A.M. Approach
Leslie Gonzalez received her doctorate of physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2014. She currently works as a Physical Therapist at the T.E.A.M. Approach. She also co-leads a social group at the T.E.A.M. Approach for teenagers and young-adults with special needs. Leslie is certified as a Basic D.I.R. Floortime Provider and as a Cure Duchenne Cares Physical Therapist.
