Everyday we are presented with social scenes and how we will react to them.  Will we modify our behavior to fit the social scene or will we overreact because we lack skills?  Students on the Autism Spectrum face decisions like this on a minute-by-minute bases.  How do you teach students on the Autism Spectrum these skills?  Literature, storybooks, and pictures books can help because teachers and students can investigate the characters and their social scenes to see when the characters have success and when they have failure.  Come and learn how to turn any picture book, literature, or storybook into a successful social skill teaching opportunity.
