Educational need includes functional challenges such as behavior and social skills, not just academics.  This presentation will take an in-depth look at supports and services, for students with disabilities, which address functional needs and how to address those needs through the ARD process.  We will also discuss steps parents can take when student behavior results in alternative disciplinary placement, and the issue of staff training regarding discipline of students with disabilities.
